Our Story
Dr. Sztrókay established her Office in Budapest in 1990 with more then 25 years of legal experience behind her.
Three lawyers and two paralegals work for the Office. Dr. Györgyi Paragh joined in 1995, while Dr. Zsolt Zimányi in 2002.
The Office's main profile is to give expert legal advice on immigration, civil and economic issues. Furthermore we trial represent criminal cases and have widespread experience on the field of tax and labour law. Our colleagues' professional background covers counseling in legal matters, the drafting of documents and litigation, while they also tackle state administration procedures.
Our office provides full legal advice
Our clientele are mostly local and foreign small, medium size enterprises and private individuals, many of them originating from the so called third countries (China, Japan, USA etc.) We target to solve the legal issues in a practical way, emphasizing all possible aspects. At the same time our Office will always feel obliged to inform our foreign clients in the best possible manner, to limit the misunderstandings and uncertainties arising from the different language, traditional and cultural background they face in Hungary. (since joining the EU and Schengen region, the residency and immigration procedures have undergone rigorous and complicated changes).
What We Do
Our Office can offer expert counseling in three languages (Hungarian, English and Chinese), and two of our colleagues speak medium level French. For a long time we have been working closely together with one Hungarian and one Chinese accountacy firm, therefore we can provide updated and prompt advice on taxation or bookkeeping matters as well.The Office itself is located in a villa built in 1910, found in the pleasant 12th district of Budapest. The building was renovated between 1990 and 2000 with the help of Mihály Hefkó, Ybl prize interior designer. Under his guidance and instructions dr. Sztrókay managed to save the original structure and atmosphere of the villa, which also resulted in a Podmaniczky prize for her acknowledging the efforts she put into town protection.
